This project took several months to complete, numerous pots of coffee, chocolate bars (you know... the big ones, i'm sure you've eatten one of those in one sitting, cause i know i had to), and sporadic 'wake-me-up-now' dance sessions.
general:
I had to remake every aspect of this costume atleast once, save the boots. But it was worth it. The coat I remade around 3-4times haha death X_X
During the con, I swear I lost 5 pounds from sweating. I was literally soaked and during the AMV contest viewing I was getting wicked awful cold/hot flashes. yuck!
The wig:
Was the most fun! This was the first time I ever wore, styled and dyed a wig. I would love to do it again. So this wig was hand dyed from a strange red-orange clown color and thoroughly styled over many months.
The Coat:
The first more finalized coat was based off the character art and screen caps first released for KH2 and CoM. The front tubing style did not touch up with the arm seam. Then the Final Mix art come out and well... it did. So the final coat is Final Mix Style. It's heavy furniture vinyl (and it was thick and very heavy) but not too shiney or matte. Then lined. I'm very proud of the hood though. It's not that typical witch hood cut out everyone does. When up, it realllly looks like the art. bonus +1. The only querk i have with the actual fabric part of the coat is the bottom front inner hem. I had to round it out so I didn't kill myself when walking in my 6" platforms. The beads are a whole other story. I built them via Rhino3D and printed them in Z-corp plaster. The middle necklace was then molded into wax and casted in aluminum. The outer dangling ones were fabricated onto a chain and left as infiltrated plaster. I wanted to keep all these items light and strong, so this worked out perfect.
Boots etc:
Demonia brand 6" platform matte heels. Nice stuff. I can run in them woo! I modified the tops to match the art as well. Gloves are Wilsons leather biker style gloves.
Chakrum:
Okay this was the killer.
Fashioned in pink insulation foam! I used a turkey carver to shape them and painsakingly pieced the ~43ish parts together with toothpicks and "GreatStuff". Then 2.5 movies later I finished sanding them and covered them in resin, aka lost half my braincells. After several back-to-back all nighters the week/days before the con, i finished the resin coatings and painted them with various spray paints. I never thought it would be so labor intensive! This was the most challenging part I'd say.

You're beyond words to accurately describe how amazing you are. And I am insanely jealous of your talent. God, I wish my first cosplay had turned out half as well as yours.
At least you're *my* Axel.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
